Some people think that hard working and determination are the key factors for being successful in the life, other people feel that other factors are important. Discuss both sides, what is your opinion?

The world’s greatest minds are still looking for the unique formula for achieving success. I believe that such a formula does not exist and that success is a final product of many different circumstances along with the hard work. In this essay I shall draw upon two real- life success stories to explain this thesis.
To begin with, meticulous work and commitment will never fail to bring results. Almost everything worth having in life such as a college education, a dream work or even a serious relationship requires a time consuming effort. It is not so well known fact that James King, a famous writer, made a fortune with his 10th book, only after he has been rejected nine times before. Therefore, it is clear how determination is important, especially in times when it looks like all actions will be rendered futile.
Secondly, sometimes all it takes to succeed is to be in the right place at the right time. Opportunities in life come and go and it is crucial to recognise one when it appears. This can happen only once in a lifetime and if one misses it another might not come. This is why people should always be open-minded and prepared to take chances. That is exactly what happened to Mary Jones, now a famous supermodel, but when an agent first saw her, just a shy girl from the local coffee shop.
In conclusion, success comes in many different shapes and if one misses their lucky star along the way, hard work is everybody’s best option.

Art is the final stage of the human development. Governments have a duty to create opportunities for citizens to enjoy it but only after fundamental entitlements have been taken care off. This essay will use findings of respected sociologists and psychologists to back up this viewpoint.
To begin with, it is often argued that the money spent on art could have been put to a better use. Everyday worries often overshadow the beautiful world of imagination. The truth is that most people having existential problems can hardly enjoy any art and they expect from their governments to support something completely different rather than a famous exhibition or a theatre play. For example, sociologists from Harvard University recently showed that 60% of interviewed citizens of New York City would rather choose a free supermarket coupon than a ticket to a play. Therefore, unless fundamental problems are resolved most people will not appreciate art.
Looking at things from the other perspective, citizens can just the same easily escape reality full of problems by the given opportunity to enjoy something different and inspiring. This is because most people have a need to develop emotionally as well as physically. For instance, psychologists from Cambridge University found that participating in any art-related activity can enhance mood by 70%.For this obvious reason it is justified for governments to invest money into art.
In conclusion, there are strong arguments, pros and cons, for investing money into art. I believe it is justified and contributes greatly, but it should not be a priority over the basic human needs.
