Do copyright laws limit creativity or reward it? Would society function better without such rules and regulations?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

In modern society, the copyright issue has grown in importance over the last few decades. Some people say copyright laws limit creativity because the law banned sharing of art products with people who cannot afford them, yet some people claim that the laws protect the original developers or artists from uncontrolled copying and sharing. I strongly agree with the opinion of copyright laws reward the original artists for their effort and creativity and this essay will discuss both sides, using examples to demonstrate ideas.

Firstly, copyright laws prevent people to share art works for free without any control. As the internet technology has been developed, people can share vigorous amount of information through the internet with no cost. However, artists spend their time, money, and their creativity to create the contents which should be respected by consumers. Therefore, to prevent the free sharing of art contents by laws is necessary to protect the art creator’s right and reward their creativity and effort.

Secondly, some people say sharing those content provide an opportunity to face a great sample of creativity to the people who cannot afford it. Yet, the sharing content through the internet is usually uncontrolled and this may affect on the original contents creators because everyone will download the contents without paying. It may cause of declining of creative contents’ because the original producer cannot paid back of their product.

Copyright laws seems regulate our freedom on the internet by banning free downloading such products, however, these laws protect the right of original producer and our culture.
