To what extent do you agree?
Use reasons and specific examples to explain your answer.
The global education trend is revitalizing by the introduction of exciting tools and technologies to traditional book-reading methodologies. I strongly believe that a humorous way of teaching is more productive than tedious reading. This essay will demonstrate points and support arguments using examples of gaming consoles and sports as the means of entertainment effectively used in latest education systems.
Firstly, playing on game consoles significantly improves children’s practical skills which are impossible only by reading books. This is because consoles are built with audio-visual materials coupled with motion sensors to improve cognitive abilities. For example, recent studies by Harvard University shows that US students spending daily 2 hours in car racing games on game consoles like PlayStation or Xbox have 65% better results in driving tests than their counterparts who only read driving manuals. Therefore, these simulation techniques are being popular as effective training supplements.
Secondly, sports can play a vital role in teaching ample social skills. This is largely due to the fact that most of the sports are team activities. Take football as an example, all 11 players in the field unite as a team and show their sense of competition against the opponent under the game rules. Consequently, these sportspersons learn invaluable life skills such as team coordination, discipline, and competitiveness.
In conclusion, from above examples and arguments, I firmly agree that fun activities have a better impact on kids’ learning than simply by reading texts. Considering their benefits, the involvement of amusing activities and gaming tools are expected to increase rapidly in the future.

Communication is less between family members of late. Do you agree or disagree?
To what extent do you agree?
In recent years, social interactions have been highly influenced by modern technologies and working environment. I strongly believe that this phenomenon has a detrimental effect on family communication. This essay will demonstrate points and support arguments in this regard using examples of the impact of social networks and work pressure on working-class families in the US.
Firstly, people are spending most of their free time on electronic devices these days instead of communicating with the people around. This is mainly because the internet is ubiquitous and interesting applications are available to play with. For example, recent reports by CNN showed that more than 70% of US workers are spending their time on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter during leisure time. Therefore, the more people are busy with their mobile phones, the less time they have for their family.
Secondly, middle-class people are struggling to maintain a proper work-life balance in most of the developed economies. This is due to the fact that there are limited opportunities in the labor market which results into a huge competition for available positions. For instance, in 2016 there were 70% more applications registered than the announced vacancies in Amazon. Hence, many people get coerced into working longer hours to satisty their employers’ demand instead of their families.
To conclude, from the above examples and arguments, I firmly believe that family communication has been ruined by excessive use of modern technologies and the chaotic work schedule. In the future, this communication gap in working-class families is suspected to be widened.
