Even though I received a confirmation call three days ago, the unprofessional server with horrible attitude was unable to find my reservation. My family members were finally guided to a table after 15 minutes but the table I reserved was occupied by another family. The problem did not stop on the table. We were forced to stay patient for an hour until the food was served. To make matters worse, the wrong dish was served, which required extreme tolerance for additional 30 minutes.
Unlike the expectation of a wonderful birthday dinner, the poor quality of service ruined the precious birthday party. I therefore suggest that I be given a full refund immediately.

Traditional schooling is out of date, boring and stifles a child’s natural talents, various professionals have pushed for an education revolution. Are there alternatives in the education system? Is traditional education doing more harm than good?

The issues of outdated traditional education have grown in importance since various alternatives such as online learning allow students to take lessons customized to each student. However, traditional education still plays a crucial role even in the age of specialization. In this essay, both issues will be discussed with examples of Google and students in Toronto to demonstrate points and support arguments.
On the one hand, there is ample evidence that traditional schooling struggles in providing contemporary education that recent jobs require. This is because it has been designed for average students and has focused on the group performance improvement. The studies from MIT revealed that 83 percent of software engineers at Google have learned new computer languages from online education in their school days. Therefore, alternative education can be a proper substitution.
On the other hand, long-established education still has positive effects on students. It covers the standard curriculum set by the Ministry of Education and helps students develop their social skills through in-person interactions. The Toronto district school board reported that 45 percent of alternative programs failed to meet the minimum qualification requirements in 2015. The report also showed that 25 percent of students who enrolled only in distance education have never been involved in any kind of group activity for a year. Consequently, it is too early for alternative education to replace traditional education.
In conclusion, although alternative education is equipped with personalized instructions that boost individual’s natural talents, traditional schooling still can be considered as the best method to build fundamental knowledge for students.
