To what extent do you agree?
The way of human life is changed a lot since last two decades ,the most significant change are human relationships ,nowadays communication has reached way beyond the boundaries. This essay will discuss both the views before drawing a conclusion.
In past, people communicate by posting the letters or sending through messengers ,which take days or months to reach the destination, ,thanks to the modern era where technology is ruling the world and everything is on our fingertips .new social networking sites like skype, wats app ,facebook have made communication more accessable. and economical to even in rural parts of the world. For example a recent study by the WHO showed that 9 out of 10 people irrespective of their socio economic background prefer virtual communication and other social networking sites as it cost them less. Therefore technology had filled the communication void between the families and friends.
Secondly , modern technology saves time and cost because in the past ,people had to wait in long queue in bank and also for gas or electricity bills. Now it has become much easier and quicker with online banking and paytm, so it saves a lot of time for a person to spend time with their loved ones. For example a recent survey by HSBC company in India noted that 95% of the total population uses internet banking .from this we can say that modern technology has improved our lifestyle and communication among family members has increased considerably over the past few decades
In conclusion ,although there are a multitude of difficulties to maintain the communication between friends and families in the modern era, the advancement of media and communication plays a tremendous role in keeping in touch with loved ones .
Doing an enjoyable activity with a child can develop better skills and imagination than reading .to what extent do you agree?
In todays pace of life, society tends towards physical and mental activities in their day to day life. These active skills such as play station can improve our well being and also participating in sports along with children can improve physical activities and various other skills. will show this. Let us discuss both views before drawing a conclusion .
Reading has numerous benefits, nevertheless, playing on electronic consoles can develop skills that could not be possible to develop just by reading alone .this is because playing with a child is a stress buster and also develop spatial awareness ,reflexive actions and various other skills. For example, recent studies by Harvard University showed that 4 out of 5 children who played 2hours a week outperformed in psychometric test .therefore playing console allows for the child to progress in areas neglected by just reading.
Secondly ,just reading may be academically good for the child but indulging oneself in sport will increase motor skills, this is because one can increase their logical thinking by reading but physical activity such as sport will increase both physical and mental stamina and also motor skills . for example India sports council noted that a child with high motor skills will allow him greater independence and self discipline.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that enjoyable activities such as play station console encourage imagination and creativity as well as concentration, logical thinking, problem solving all of which are useful skills outside the gaming context .play promotes joy ,which is essential for self esteem and health .
