Traditional schooling is out of date, boring and stifles a child’s natural talents, various professionals have pushed for an education revolution.
Are there alternatives in the education system?

Is traditional education doing more harm than good?

The issue of whether academic education constrains the innate abilities of children or stimulates has grown in importance since the advent of industrialisation. I firmly believe that the advantages far outnumber the downside of the conventional teaching process. This essay will discuss both these views, and use examples from the renowned sport personnel and alternative measures to demonstrate points and support arguments.

Firstly, our old age education system repress the inborn creativity. This is largely because Maths and languages are given more importance over art subjects. Moreover, the creative minds achieve more success than those who masters only academics. For example, a famous Indian cricketer Mr. Sachin Tendulkar is a multimillionaire though he has accomplished up to secondary school studies. Therefore, a child can progress to maximum by developing innate skills and just not being dependant on routine curriculum.

Secondly, educational revolution will benefit immensely for the development of inherent talents. This is due to the fact that nowadays artistic subjects are brought forward to the upper level in educational hierarchy. For instance, a recent long term study at Harvard indicates that 70% pupils became more creative and enthusiastic when engaged in sports, music and drama over learning academic subjects. As a consequence, inclusion of extra-curricular subjects will kindle more benefits in future.

To conclude, although the educational revolution is unjustifiably the ideal solution there are still perilous effects to be associated with academic inflation. Hence I believe that not only educational institution but also elders should provide liberty to youngers for choosing their interest area.

Task 1 – Pie chart

The pie charts show the three regions in the U.K. spending on six different areas in 2014.
The percentage of education is almost 30% in Yorkshire and Lancashire, whereas only a quarter amount is spent by Derbyshire. The expenditure on leisure activities is the highest which accounts nearly 40% in Derbyshire. However, it is 15% and 10% less in Yorkshire and Lancashire respectively compared to Derbyshire.
Almost a quarter amount or just more in total is spent by community area, social services and environment in all three regions. This distribution is equal in Lancashire, whereas inequality is seen in other two region. A very small number, 1% is spent on social services in Derbyshire. Environment being the least popular in Yorkshire, spending up to nearly 8%. In other areas, the expenditure is almost similar in all three regions.
Overall, finances are used up to maximum amount on education and leisure activities in all three parts of U.K.
