Despite the great benefits some companies have to retain their employees, most young professionals change jobs constantly. I strongly believe that people should remain at their jobs if the company offers opportunities to grow. This essay will discuss both sides of this view and use examples from Canada and the technological world to demonstrate points.

First, even though there are big companies such as Apple and Samsung that take into consideration the seniority of employees, the majority of IT professionals often look for better jobs.

This is because they know the demand of their field is high, and they can find other opportunities that offer more benefits.

For example, recent university research in Canada indicates that 45% of Software implementation specialists change their works every 2 years, largely due to a higher wage.

Therefore, there are other variables such us flexible work hours and job environment that need to be taken into account in the modern workplace.

Second, most professionals of this new generation are very dynamic people and like to explore new things. This is due to the fact that modern technology has developed different sources to find jobs easily and people can receive job offers without looking for it. For example, LinkedIn reported in 2016 that three out of five junior accountants that were currently working in good companies applied to new jobs.

To conclude although there are advantages to remain in the same company, there are high personnel rotations in certain fields. I believe that it would be more positive outcomes in long terms if people stay working in the same company.
