Due to the economical and financial instability that has affected the international labour market in the last years, employees that have a safe position should hold it. Having a secure job in such a critical historical period allows workers to conduct a life free of stress such as low mood disorders, depression and anxiety created by a continuous condition of uncertainty. A recent study conducted by the Sorbonne University of Paris has proved that workers with a stable employment will have 40% less risk to suffer from a dysthymic disorder. Consequently, having a job related stability it is beneficial on several aspects of everyday life most importantly on aspects such as a mental health and wellbeing.

On the other hand, job hopping exposes the employees to maximize their creativity through different working realities, it expands their knowledge in multiple fields and it enlarges their horizons. For instance the Danish Goverment every year provide substantial benefits to workers that have changed more than two jobs in ten years, this reward specifically promotes job motility in every sector. Therefore, even if switching a job every few years may create uncertainty about the future, it incentivates workers to master new skills and to reinvent themselves.

To conclude, I believe that in this specific historical moment, employees should secure their positions. In order to avoid financial and economical uncertainty that may affect their physical and mental health. It is predicted that in the next ten years the international labour market will be recovering creating a wider combination of job opportunities more suitable to job hopping.
