Summarise the information by selecting and report in the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 150 words.
The pie charts depict the council expenses towards various sectors in three different regions in the United Kingdom namely; Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Lancashire in the year 2014.
Yorkshire spent largely for education followed by leisure with minimal difference at 10%. The Social and community care had similar figures around 15% and the rest shared at 10 per cent. Meanwhile, Derbyshire council spent more on leisure at 45% having the highest portion in all category followed by education with a difference of almost a quarter. On the other hand, social services got the smallest fraction at 3%.
Lancashire had an equal distribution of expenditure for community care, social services, environment and others at 10 % each. Whereas, the expenses allotted to leisure and education were also similar at 30%.
Overall, the largest portion of expenditures went for leisure except in the province of Yorkshire wherein education is the top most priority by their council.
Traditional schooling is out of date, boring and stifles a child’s natural talents, various professionals have pushed for an education revolution. Are there alternatives in the education system? Is traditional education doing more harm than good?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Education is an essential tool towards success of an individual. There are ongoing issues about innovating educational system by alternatives and a query about the impact of traditional curriculum to humanity. This essay will discuss both issues using examples like arts and career advancement to demonstrate points and support arguments.
Learning is dynamic and transition of educational system from traditional to modern curriculum contributes positively in the society. This is largely because it offers various opportunities in generating large amount of revenue for an inhabitant. For example, the Art subjects helps to hone person’s ability to dance sing and act gives opportunity to entertainment industry were artist are paid in large amount. By this means, people will have other pathway of success if their chosen career failed to prosper.
Despite the recognition of revolutionary system of education, traditional education does not cause undesirable effect to academic learning. For the reason, that it builds a good foundation such as English subject to be used in their chosen field. For instance, passing the international English language tests is a requirement and pathway to greener pasture in the U.K. Therefore, having an excellent background in English curriculum during university years will increase chances of passing the exam. as current polls shows 80% of the takers failed to reach the band score recommended, hinders them be employed in the U.K.
In conclusion, both systems of education can be applied. Success comes to those who have determination and dream to succeed.
