The internet has facilitated the sharing of any type of media, and although it may seem an improvement to the consumer, it has meant great losses to the owners of the content.
Copyright legislation is made to protect the owner of the invention, therefore it stimulates artists and entrepreneurs to create further. This is largely because when copyright law is enforced correctly, it may generate revenue for the creation’s owner, thus prompting creative people to produce more to have more profits. For example, Spotify revealed that 50% of net profits are for the artists that allow them to use their songs. Therefore, without copyright laws it would be more difficult for them to make a profit and as a consequence they would be less motivated to work in new products.
Society needs regulation for almost everything and this is no exception. Even if without proper regulation some products could be less expensive, and in the case of medical treatment, provide a positive impact in many patients, it is important to consider the amount of effort and resources invested into creating a product. A recent study in Germany showed that pharmaceutical companies in this country spend about 30% of their profits on research. For this reason, regulation allows companies to keep generating revenues, but at the same time encourages them to keep investing in innovation.
To conclude, it must be acknowledged the importance of making and enforcing regulation, because it may have positive implications in entrepreneur’s efforts to continue developing.

My name is John Smith, student number 12345. I am contacting you regarding a letter received from the University of Albion because I failed to attend to the math test on March 2nd and also to provide a valid reason for my absence. For this reason it was opened a disciplinary procedure with the following number; 543.
In this letter I intend to apologize to the Examination Committee for any inconvenience caused and also to provide an explanation. The reason why I could not be present the day of the test was because I had the flu. The day after I went to the general practitioner’s office to obtain valid evidence but he was not available, so I had to return the day after. In this moment I have the letter of the doctor and I can provide it to you upon request.
Considering that I still have to take the test, I kindly ask you if you can provide another date for the exam.
